David Camilleri worked on our ground floor extension and complete new second story. He had complete access to the original house during the course of the building process and had to liaise with the incumbent home owner. During this time we found David to be an exceptional person, both in his professional skill and in his personal qualities.

His word was his bond. He always communicated clearly with us, he was absolutely punctual and he gave one hundred percent effort. We completely trusted him to have access to the home, to liaise with other tradesmen and to lock up at the end of the day. We had no reservations in leaving the home with David on site. Professionally he took enormous pride in the quality of his workmanship. Repeatedly other tradesmen have commented to us on the quality of his work. We first came across David’s work in a renovation project featured in the Port Macquarie Focus Magazine in 2012. From what we read we knew David was someone to approach when we were ready for our own project to commence.For us, it was wonderful that David was available to commence just as we were finalizing architectural plans and interior design selections. David’s quote was thorough and after several pre-build meetings we knew we had confidence that Camilleri Homes could bring our home renovation vision to life. From the beginning to the end of the nine-month project David was on site meticulously co-ordinating his building team and the various trades required to complete the job.Each day he ensured the site was clean and unimpeded for a good workflow.

We valued the regular communication we had with David throughout the process. David’s foresight and experience allowed us to create beautiful features in our home. Redesigning the living area with high ceilings, Velux skylights and large sliding doors to the exterior alfresco area has completely opened up this space. From the alfresco, David and his team created a beautiful covered walkway connecting the home and pool area. The master bedroom suite he achieved incorporated luxe touches such as an oversized ensuite, beautiful walk-in wardrobe and glass-roofed courtyard directly accessed from the bedroom.

We engaged Camilleri Homes to renovate 3 bathrooms in our house.

We are entirely satisfied with the project. The initial discussions led to a quotation from Camilleri Homes, which was accepted, and the work was carried out as described and in the manner outlined.

The standard of workmanship, by David Camilleri and his crew, and by the subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, tilers and painters) supervised by him, is of a high standard and is satisfactory in every way.

Since we were living in the house at the time, and during the work, it was important to us to know what was happening. Mr Camilleri took great care to explain the progress of the work, and went to considerable lengths to minimise disruption to us. We particularly appreciated the neat and tidy way work was carried out, and his end-of-day clean up.

In giving my reference to other potential customers of Camilleri homes all I have to say is don't bother going anywhere else. My wife and I have had the great fortune to engage Camilleri homes to build our dream family home here in Port Macquarie. I can say without a doubt, that the extreme patience and professionalism shown by David our builder and his wife Kate behind the scenes, has been amazing. Even before we began the build David spent many hours offering his advice and experience to me without the promise of signing a contract with him. From that moment I knew he had a high level of integrity and was a builder ready to put his name and reputation into his work. In many ways David's contribution to the build was the easiest part of the process as we had a very long delay due to council red tape preventing a smooth start to our long awaited build. This was financially and emotionally stressful on my wife and I. I fully expected David to walk away prior to the build commencing due to the level of difficulties we were having, but he stood by us and offered his support so we could make our dream a reality. I am sure during this time he would have postponed other jobs so we could be given time to start. I can say that I am still amazed at the level of communication we have had throughout the whole process. Every step along the way I have been informed and reassured so we could move forward without worry. I would say we spoke at least three to four times a week on many occasions, especially prior to starting. My wife and I have been informed about every step in the build process and have been able to achieve a home which is of a higher quality than we had first thought possible.

I contracted the services of David's building company “Camilleri Homes" to construct an addition to my residence in Port Macquarie.

Throughout all stages of the construction David demonstrated absolute professionalism as a craftsman, businessman and supervisor.

In regard to the quality of workmanship:

- Our property and personal space was respected at all times

- The site was left in a neat, tidy and safe state at the end of each day

It is with pleasure that I write this reference for David Camilleri from Camilleri Homes. David was contracted for a large renovation of our house. From first meeting David he was professional at all times and always up front with the details of the renovation, working with us for many hours over many days to get all the detail noted and correct.

My husband and I found David to be reliable, approachable and honest. He itemised all work, was on site promptly each morning and every evening the job site was impeccably clean. When variations arose he explained each variation to us, giving a costing or approximate costing (if exact figures were unknown) before going ahead with any additional work. All costings were proven to be accurate and thorough.

David was helpful with our bank and understanding of their requirements doing everything in his power to assist us with their requests.

The finished product is of a high standard and quality. It is obvious that David takes a lot of pride in his work and he is meticulous with detail.
